Easter at The Barn and The Boxwood

The Long Easter Weekend is fast approaching and for once it is even looking like the weather is going to be warm and dry.

What plans have you got for the four-day weekend?

For those planning to take time out and relax or entertain in their gardens this Easter, we have a wide range of outdoor furniture. From bistro sets for 2 people right up to corner sofa sets for 12 and all kinds of benches, recliners and egg chairs in-between. To finish off your outside space we also have cushions, outdoor rugs and throws. Once the sun begins to set and the the slight chill of an early spring evening sets in there’s no need to head indoors. Light a fire pit or chiminea and wrap up in one of our cosy wool blankets. We have some great lighting ideas that not only look beautiful glowing through the dark but also make great statements in the daytime.

If you are planning a busier time in the garden this Easter, we have new seasonal plants and vegetables arriving daily right now. As the threat of frost starts to subside as we head toward the end of April, summer bedding plants can and young vegetables can be planted out. Do keep an eye on the weather forecast for any frost that might take us by surprise overnight. Tender plants will need to be protected from extreme cold.

Alfresco dining at The Boxwood Café

With warm weather forecast for at least the next week to ten days, why not pop along and make the most of our alfresco dining at The Boxwood Café. Alongside our usual menu, our Specials Board offers ever changing, seasonal choices.

Happy Easter

Whatever your plans this Easter, we hope you have a lovely time. Our plans this Easter……as we have to close the Garden Centre on Easter Sunday, we usually celebrate all being at home together with roast lunch after heading out very early to see if the Easter Bunny has left a trail of eggs for us to follow and collect! This will be after not one, but two birthdays in our house! Our youngest turns 8 0n Good Friday and Paul will be celebrating a rather bigger this year on Saturday.
